The Entertainment Centre is at the heart of Sun City where guests can book many activities through the on-site Welcome Desk. Outdoor adventures and game activities are booked at the Gametrackers desk. There are shops, food outlets and fun arcade games in the centre and a variety of eateries around the resort.

Parents can rest assured that their children will be well entertained at Sun City Resort. There are two clubs available - one for under 12’s and the other is a teenager-only zone! A professional babysitting and chaperone service is also offered so that mom and dad can enjoy a romantic dinner or a theatre show amongst many other exciting activities. Getting around Sun City is easy as there is a shuttle bus and a monorail available.

All the swimming pools have trained lifeguards and there are several within the Sun City complex. Located at the magical Lost City is the Valley of the Waves, one of the most advanced water-parks in the world. Wonderful watersports such as jet-skiing and windsurfing can be enjoyed on the lake at the Cabanas. Near the lake shore children will find a fantastic playground, nearby mini-golf, mini-cars, trampolines and more. Lovers of adventure can enjoy the 2km (1.2 mile) long zip-slide nearby or go horse-riding.

Wildlife encounters are offered all around Sun City Resort and also in the nearby malaria-free Pilanesberg National Park, where Elephant back safaris can be enjoyed. Other Sun City activities include visiting the crocodile sanctuary at feeding time which happens daily in the late afternoon. Little ones will love being able to pet the farm animals at Animal World and admire the Birds of Prey exhibit, daily feeding time is late morning. The steam train ride passes the aviary and wildlife on its scenic route.

Clubs and childcare at Sun City Resort:

Thula Baba - a professional babysitting and chaperone service for supervised outings, which operates during the day and at night.

Kamp Kwena Crèche - this facility is open to children aged 0 – 12 years and offers various daily activities. The Crèche is open every day.

Club Chirp - a great place for teenagers to make new friends! The club is open to 13-17 year olds with strictly no-one over 18 and no alcohol. Club Chirp operates every day in school holidays and at night on Fridays and Saturdays.

Highlights for kids at Sun City Resort:

The Valley of Waves at the Lost City is a truly amazing feature. The journey to this magical place starts with the Bridge of Time which shakes with volcanic activity every hour. Adventure paths, beautiful gardens with hidden caves, forests and a sway bridge surround the valley.

The Roaring Lagoon is a magnificent hydraulic wave pool measuring 6 500 square metres (7560 square yards) with a palm-fringed beach. Huge waves are generated every 90 seconds. The water park has five exciting flume rides including the Temple of Courage where visitors drop 17 metres (57 feet) down a long chute before being swept away under a bridge and into the pool at the end of the slide. There are also tube rides and body slides.

The Valley of Waves has great services and facilities. There are lifeguards on duty, well-equipped change rooms, lockers and a first aid centre. The ethnic village offers a food outlet, sweetie shop, clothing store, children’s playground and pool. The Royal Bath is another larger swimming pool adjacent to the amphitheatre.
